Its Going To Be A Sizzling Summer! The Barbecue season is upon us with a vengeance. We’ve already had some hot sunny days here in the UK and are promised a sizzling summer. And what better way to spend those sunny days than living the outdoor life camping and caravanning? And naturally, if we’re outdoors in the sunshine, we want to barbecue. Here at First Pitch we have a range of equipment available, the ever popular Beauclaire and Cadac gas grills, the Tabletop Gas Barbecue and, for those who prefer the ease of a disposable, BBQ, we have the Asado Grill Stand and the Asado Camper – just to make it easier and safer. Spring/Summer camping and caravanning. It's been a slow start to the camping and caravanning year here at First Pitch, the economic situation hasn't helped anyone and some inclement weather further dampened spirits but things are ramping up nicely now. Campsites are reporting increased levels of booking as holidaying in the UK, and particularly camping, becomes an ever more attractive proposition and the interest in camping and caravanning accessories is also showing a welcome upturn.

We've a whole new set off offers in our Special Offer section this month. Simple but useful items that help your camping or caravanning holiday be that little bit easier, that little bit more relaxing.

The Easter break is just around the corner - so if you are venturing out in a tent, caravan or motorhome it's a good idea to give all your gear a good check now - nobody wants to arrive on site to find out that this or that little item is broken or missing!

We all know that Christmas comes too early now, with supermarkets putting up the decorations months before the festive season and stacking up the mince pies and crackers as far as the eye can see. Here at First Pitch we don’t do things that way, but now with Christmas less than four weeks away we feel it’s ok to mention it!

We’ve some great bargains to be had throughout the website, but see our Special Offers section for those goods with even keener pricing. A few gift ideas there for your camping or caravanning friends and family.

Those that subscribe to the newsletter will already have had details of these offers. If you haven’t subscribed yet and would like to receive details of future offers and promotions that little bit earlier, you can do so using the box at the bottom of the left column on any page of the First Pitch website. We don’t bombard subscribers with emails (no more than 5 or 6 a year) and we certainly don’t pass on details to anyone else! Autumn

It wasn't much of a summer was it?

Autumn is coming up now, and with it our needs change. Barbecues are out, heaters are in! This year however though, things are a little different. The much publicised "credit crunch" is here, meaning that, for most of us, money is a little tighter and value for money is something even more important.

Here at First Pitch we are well aware of this. Accordingly, we will shortly be offering some real bargains, some special offers and some money saving ideas.

Summer At Last!!!

Summer has finally arrived - despite the rain. With it comes the time for barbecues and we have some great products for you at First Pitch

Then we have the very popular Asado Grill for those who prefer just using a disposable BBQ but who want the ease and safety provided by this stylish stand. For those that require a little more portability, there is the Asado Camper, which performs essentially the same way but folds up in seconds into something you can slip into a backpack or a glove box.

February News

As promised, we’ve made a few adjustments to the layout of our site here at First Pitch. Nothing too radical but we hope that the moving of the front page links to selected items up the page makes things easier to see. We've cut down on the waffle and decluttered the page too.

Already there seems to be a little of the “spring air” feeling about. The season is almost upon us; soon we will be camping and caravanning again. And not before time too! So are you ready yet? Have you checked your gear, added those extras you promised yourself next year, replaced those worn out items? If not, or if you’re looking for a few ideas can we just draw your attention to a few little items on the site?

The Target Sprit Level will fit almost anywhere, yet enables you to level your caravan or trailer tent in all directions without have to realign your level sideways then front to back..

The Spray Cleaner Squeegees are great for cleaning the road dirt from the front of your caravan when you arrive on site without the need to stick your hand in a bucket of water – it can still be very cold at this time of year after all.

The Pack and Roll Trolley is a great way to take the strain out of moving things around the campsite – whether it be unloading your car or taking the washing-up to the sinks.

Levelling Block Bags help keep things clean by keeping those muddy blocks away from your caravan locker. While on the subject of bags, there’s a bag for your water carrier and a bag for your waste carrier too.

Well 2008 is upon us - and First Pitch wish all our customers a happy and prosperous New Year.

Very soon the camping season will be upon us - so we at First Pitch will shortly be incorporating an extended range of tents and associated camping equipment into our product list. Keep checking back to see what exciting additions have been made to our web pages.

In the meantime, can we draw your attention to one particular item, the Halogen Ruby Shortwave Patio Heater which is proving extremely popular as an effective way of keeping that caravan awning warm. We have many happy customers who have found this particular heater an invaluable way of making cold weather caravanning that little bit more enjoyable.

Finally, keep your eyes out, for an update to the design of our website. Nothing to radical, just a few tweaks designed to make it easier for our customers to find what they are looking for quickly and easily, while enabling new visitors a faster insight into what we, as a business, are all about.
